● Republicans are actively pursuing redistricting efforts in states like Texas, Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, and
Missouri to create more favorable district lines that could increase their seat count. Democrats have
redistricted in Blue states such as Massachusetts, Illinois, Maryland, California, New York, New Jersey.
● Mid-decade redraws, like the one proposed in Texas, could potentially add 2 to 5 Republican seats, shifting
the current narrow advantage.
